There is a movement afoot – a movement to combine the majority of our fights in the LGBT community and start fighting for the passage of the American Equality Bill, a simple, federal piece of legislation that adds the words “sexual orientation and gender identity” into the list of protected classes in all of the federal Civil Rights legislation from 1964 to today. Please take a few minutes to read the very concise bill ( 7 1/2 easy to read pages) here:
Then, if you are so inclined, start planning actions to pressure your US senators and US house members to sponsor the bill. Get creative! Get active! Get what you deserve!
